§ 6-492. Method of notice.

Any notice permitted or required to be given under this article shall be considered given when mailed by United States mail, postage prepaid, to the operator, if known, or to the registered owner at the address appearing on the registry of the office of motor vehicles of the department of safety and corrections, or to a lessee at the address provided by the lessor, or in the case of an out of state owner or operator, to such address as may be shown at the appropriate registration office.
