§ 4-142. City sanitary landfills and trash dumps.

  • (a)

    Designation. The mayor and city council shall, by appropriate resolution, designate from time to time property or properties owned or leased and used by the city as city sanitary landfills and trash dumps.

    (b)

    Unauthorized use prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to bring material from outside the city into the city for the purpose of depositing or dumping the materials on the city sanitary landfills and trash dumps. Entry upon or in the city sanitary landfills and trash dumps for any purpose not authorized herein is prohibited.

    (c)

    Hours dumping permitted. It shall be unlawful for any person to bring materials from within the city and place same on the areas designated as city sanitary landfills and trash dumps, except during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, inclusive, of each week or at such times as may be designated from time to time by the director of public works.
